The Phonics Club is an online learning hub for kids who find reading, spelling, and writing harder than it should be.

It’s designed especially for children with learning differences like dyslexia, ADHD, or autism, or those who just need a more structured approach to get on track with literacy.

Inside the Club, you’ll find:

• Step-by-step phonics lessons (on demand, so you can do them anytime)

• Printable worksheets and games to practise what’s been taught

• Monthly live masterclasses for your child to attend, hang with Kristy & the other kids and learn about a specific literacy skill 

• 1:1 email access to Kristy for personalised advice and guidance

The resources are clear, easy to use, and based on structured literacy methods that actually work, so your child can build the foundational skills they need, one small win at a time.

Whether your child is struggling with decoding, spelling tricky words, or writing complete sentences, The Phonics Club gives you the tools to support them at home, without the overwhelm.

And because everything’s online and self-paced, you can fit it into your week when it works best for your family.

We use an application process to make sure The Phonics Club is the right fit for your child.

This program is designed for families who are ready to engage with structured, self-paced learning at home with monthly live check-ins. To help us figure out if that’s the right setup for your child, we ask a few simple questions about your goals and their current learning needs and profile.

It’s not a test, it’s just our way of making sure your child will actually benefit from what’s inside the Club.

And if it turns out the format isn’t the best match, we’ll let you know that too, so that we can get your child on the right track, whatever that might be.

The Phonics Club's resources and lessons are designed for children aged 6 to 12 years old who struggle with reading, spelling, and writing due to learning challenges such as dyslexia, ADHD, autism, or other related difficulties. It’s ideal for kids who need a targeted intervention aimed at their exact learning level and for homeschooling families looking for evidence-based resources to support their child's literacy development at home.

Whether your child has been taught using methods that haven't worked, or they’re feeling disengaged in school, The Phonics Club offers a flexible and supportive environment where they can improve their literacy skills at their own pace, in their own time. 

Structured literacy is an evidence-based approach to teaching reading and spelling that is systematic, explicit, and highly organised. It focuses on the foundational skills necessary for literacy, including phonemic awareness, phonics and vocabulary. Unlike methods that rely on memorisation or guessing, structured literacy teaches children how language works by breaking down the reading and spelling process into manageable steps, avoiding overwhelm.

This approach is particularly important for children who struggle with literacy due to challenges like dyslexia, ADHD, or other learning difficulties. By providing clear, direct instruction and plenty of practice opportunities, structured literacy helps children develop the essential skills they need to become confident and accurate readers and writers. It is designed to address specific learning gaps and build a strong foundation, then by building skills upon that solid base.

In the Phonics Club, your child will be taught by Kristy, a highly-qualified and experienced dyslexia therapist with 20+ years of teaching experience. 

She holds the following qualifications and accreditations:

• Ron Yoshimoto Orton-Gillingham Teacher Training (Standard & Advanced)
• MSL Accreditation: Accredited Member of the Australian Dyslexia Association (AMADA Registration: 420254)
• Postgraduate Certificate in Special Education (Specialising in Learning Difficulties) from Macquarie University
• The Hochman Writing Revolution Training
• Previous SPELD Specialist Educator
• Bachelor of Education P-12

Kristy uses the Orton-Gillingham and Multisensory Structured Language (MSL) approaches, which are systematic, multi-sensory, and effective for children with learning difficulties such as dyslexia, ADHD, and autism.

The On Demand Phonics Lessons are an essential part of The Phonics Club. They are structured literacy sessions focused on essential phonics skills that are often not taught in schools (or not consolidated effectively) and are the missing piece to your child's literacy skills. We start at the foundations and systematically build. 

Yes, The Phonics Club includes live lessons—called Masterclasses.
These sessions focus on key literacy skills like reading rules, spelling strategies, and writing foundations. Here’s how they work:

• Monthly Live Sessions: Masterclasses are scheduled once a month, and we’ll send out the dates in advance so you can plan ahead. We rotate the day to give every family a fair shot at attending live.

• Interactive & Practical: These are small-group online sessions where your child can learn in real-time with Kristy. They’re designed to be fun, encouraging, and focused on practical skills that make reading and spelling make sense.

• Watch Anytime: Can’t make it live? No worries. Every session is recorded and added to the members’ library so you can watch it whenever suits you best. You also get access to every past Masterclass to watch anytime.

• No Prerequisites: Unlike the core phonics lessons, the Masterclasses aren’t sequential. Your child can jump into any session without having completed others.

We have found that kids love these sessions as we learn stuff, play games & have fun. Learning doesn't need to be dry!

If your child struggles with the lessons, there’s plenty of support available through The Phonics Club:

1. Recorded Lessons: You can revisit any lesson at your child's pace by accessing the recorded versions in the members' library. This allows them to go over challenging content as many times as needed.

2. Parent Resources: Along with the lessons, you’ll receive practical guides and tips with every lesson to help you support your child’s learning at home. 

3. Priority Email Access: As a member, you’ll also have priority email access for 1:1 personalised email support. Reach out anytime!

4. 1:1 Lessons with Kristy: If your child needs extra support, you are welcome to book one-off or a series of 1:1 lessons with Kristy to get the engines firing! These sessions are designed to catch your child up with a specific concept or provide focused help with any specific areas they’re struggling with to get them unstuck and progressing.

5. Functional Literacy Assessment: If you’re unsure about where your child needs the most help, or what is getting them stuck, we can run a Functional Literacy Assessment. This detailed assessment will give us a deeper understanding of their specific needs and help us devise clear goals for their literacy journey.

   These resources ensure that you and your child are fully supported and always progressing throughout the literacy journey in The Phonics Club.

Yes, payments are on a monthly cycle so you can cancel your membership at any time by simply give us notice at least 7 days before your next billing cycle, and we’ll cancel your membership with no further charges.

Any unused resources or live session recordings will remain available to you until the end of your current billing period. There’s no long-term commitment, so you can manage your membership based on your child’s needs and progress. We’re here to support you and make cancellation as smooth as possible.

Yes, the price is likely to rise in the future as the resources grow and the offer expands but the price you join on is the price you stay on, and that includes all of the updates at no extra cost, ever. 

Any future price increases will only apply to new members or anyone rejoining after a cancellation.

Yes! Up to 4 of your children can access the one membership for the one price. If you have more than 4 kids in your family - send us an email to discuss.
