The Nitty-Gritty
Not sure about how online lessons run or if they are as good as in person?
With thousands of hours of online teaching experience, we know how to do this well.
It's completely understandable to wonder whether your child will get the full experience online. But most parents are surprised. Once you give it a go, it becomes clear pretty quickly that online works.
Some parents worry their child will get distracted or won't engage. For most kids, it's actually the opposite. Being at home means there's no new environment to get curious about, no other kids to watch, and nothing pulling their attention away. It's just them and their educator, one to one. There's nowhere to hide, and that's a good thing!
Our online sessions run exactly the same as our in-person sessions. Same structure, same approach, same results.
For online sessions, your child will need either a laptop or an iPad with a stand. This lets us angle the device so we can see their desk space, just like sitting across the table from them in person. We teach kids to 'dip the lid' on their laptop so we always get a clear view of how they're working.
