The way we set up online lessons replicates the face to face lesson. 

To ensure the best learning experience, we prefer our kids to work on laptops. This way we can replicate the face to face environment by ensuring that we can see the child's 'desk space' to have a full view of their writing and work. All we have to do is 'dip the lid' to see everything, just as we would in 'real-life'. Laptops are also more functional with the games that we use to practice our skills. You are welcome to discuss other options with us but we need do need to be able to easily see your child's desk space in front of them. 

To log into our online platform (Zoom) you will get a link. You will have you child set up at a table. 

The materials that you will need will be ready to go (whiteboard, markers, books, pencils & eraser) and we will complete a lesson, just as we would if your child was sitting opposite us. 

We have cool games and activities that we can play online to consolidate and review learned concepts so this is particularly fun for kids. 

You just need to make sure that your child is in a quiet room with minimal distractions and that you have a suitable internet connection and we are good to go!

You will get lesson notes sent to you after each lesson if we don't get a chance to chat! 

The more consolidation of learnt concepts that your child has - the better. That's not rocket science! It's neurological science.

Therefore we will offer you home tasks to do and support you with how to do these at home.

If you can't and you feel completely overwhelmed, let us know! We will work with you.

Most kids see us once a week for 45 minutes at a time.

Some kids who are particularly behind or having significant difficulties, may need more support.

During the Queensland state academic term. This is usually a ten week term.

If you enrol part way through the term, you only pay for the lessons that are left in that term. We also have payment plans to make life easier for you.

No sessions are run on public holidays that are based in Queensland, Australia.

At this stage we are offering online one to one sessions during school hours.

We run one to one sessions during school hours because kids are at their best learning capacity during the day, particularly in the morning. Kids, particularly those who struggle with literacy, are tired after school and one to one sessions are intensive. After school sessions are not conducive to the best results and outcome for the child in this setting. We have seen the results that we get during the day, compared to afterschool and we do what works best for our kids.
